Mindfulness for Personal Empowerment
Mindfulness is the practice of awakening to your moment to moment experiences with curiosity and compassion, rather than with judgement and reactivity. It’s a way of being present that inspires attention to and acceptance of both comfortable and uncomfortable situations, inviting you to fully participate in your life. Our minds are like snow globes, with thoughts, emotions, memories, and dreams swirling around all the time. Mindfulness creates space by unpacking the busyness of the mind, opening the heart, and allowing kind awareness and creativity to flourish.
Mindful leaders—those who are fully conscious of their leadership responsibilities and embody presence, empathy, and care for their stakeholders—inspire a healthy workplace culture wherein people feel empowered to grow and achieve to their fullest potential, without typical workplace stress and anxiety. In these tumultuous social, political, and economic times, mindfulness is even more important for helping leaders focus on their intentions and cultivate resilience among challenges.
In our Mindfulness for NFBPA session, you will understand the basics of what mindfulness is, why it’s so important from a neurological stance, and how to cultivate mindful habits in your everyday life to connect with your presence and peace. This experience will invite you into breath and body awareness, along with recognition of your thought habits. You’ll cultivate a “beginner’s mind” in order to see your life with a fresh perspective, welcoming you to the joys of being you!
