Ronnie was appointed as the Chief of Staff for the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Operations and Infrastructure on April 1, 2019. In his current role, he has oversight of operations, policy, legislation, budget, and communications for seven agencies; Department of Transportation, Department of Public Works, Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Insurance Securities and Banking, Department of Energy and Environment, and Department of For-Hire Vehicles.

 Ronnie started his DC Government career with the Department of Motor Vehicles Adjudication Services where he served as Hearing Support Manager and Management Analyst. In his roles, he was responsible for day-to-day operations, performance and quality assurance. Ronnie also served as a member of the Traffic Adjudication Appeals Board. He transitioned to the Office of the City Administrator as Senior Operations Analyst where he supported the Department of Human Resources, Office of the Chief Technology Officer, Office of Procurement and the Office of Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining. Before public service, he worked in operations for Marriott International.

 He holds a Master’s in Project Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management from Tuskegee University. 

Ronnie serves as President for the DC Chapter of National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) and Chair of the Emerging Leaders Council on the NFBPA Board. He’s also a graduate of the Executive Leadership Institute Class of 2019. In his downtime, he enjoys traveling, cooking and having a good laugh.
